Completed the weaving and mounted it on rust colored felt and layered it on a stretched canvas. I added a wrapped embroidery hoop and a lavender twig adorned with a finger knitted band of yarn. It reminds me of a landscape in it’s final iteration.
Took an online class with Sophie Wheatly recently. A great, patient teacher helping everyone to achieve a felted hare. I felted this little guy onto linen and when I finished this I cut around him to relocate it onto a painted and stitched linen background.

Been busy taking three online classes and having sooo much fun with different materials. I have been adding new techniques to old projects and generally experimenting with the materials I have in my studio.
The Wayward Coil was created 2 years ago and now I have added ginko leaves made with copper wire and mulberry paper. I started with a “Y” shaped branch and added vintage crochet and coiling. The title tells the story of the coiling which took it’s own path and I let it go that way!
Currently taking an online felting class with Wendy Bailye from Australia. Fascinating techniques using roving, wool quilt batting, yarn, silk and mulberry paper.

Come to the library to see my artwork and explore “Nature’s Promise”. The library has an art wall and I have been invited to exhibit my textile works from November 3, 2025 to January 3, 2026. The hours for the library are Mondays – Thursdays 9 am – 8 pm, Fridays and Saturdays 9 am – 5 pm and Sundays 12 pm – 5 pm. I am also exhibiting my work at the Arvada Center’s Fine Art Market from November 28 to December 14, 2025.

“One Snowy Night” has just been completed. I have hand painted over commercial fabric and added stitches and a black mesh which I’ve used as tree branches and roots. It measures 20″ x 24″.
Another wall hanging, titled “Letting GO” has used the white mesh to interpret disintegrating leaves as they are falling.
The Depot Art Gallery, in Littleton has provided a link to view all artwork in the Fiber Art Colorado exhibit opening this Thursday, October 11th. Delivered my artwork titled “Becoming Undone” to the Depot Art Gallery this morning. The Fiber Arts Colorado Exhibit runs from September 9th through October 12th. They are closed on Monday and open from 11:00 to 4:00 pm Tuesdays – Sundays. Plan a visit to see some innovative fiber art.
Aspen on the Rocks
My newest wall hanging, titled “Aspen on the Rocks” is on hand painted linen, with fused silk tree trunk and wool felt leaves. I have also used some black floral wrapping paper and turned “rocks” appliqued at the bottom and perle cotton grasses.
Dropped 4 wall hangings this morning. One was left at Apex Recreation Center and it has already been claimed! I left one at two locations where you go to borrow and 1 where seniors go to recreate. #artdropdenver2025 for more info.
